Interested in joining the MWT Team Program?
Midwest Twisters has three different team programs. Below is a brief description of each program and the basic requirements of each. If you think your child has what it takes, give us and call and we can setup a team tryout.
Boys Junior Olympic (JO) Program
- Midwest Twisters competes Levels 4-10 in the USA Gymnastics JO Boys Program.
- Our program ranges from 3 hours per week to 18 hours per week.
- Minimum age for Level 4 competition is age 6.
- If you have a son that is interested in gymnastics…ask about the team program requirements.
Girls Junior Olympic (JO) Program
- Midwest Twisters competes Levels 3 – 10 in the USA Gymnastics JO Girls Program.
- Our program ranges from 4 hours per week to 20 hours per week.
- Minimum age for Level 3 competition is age 5, children may be invited to our Pre-Team as young as age 4.
- We typically invite girls to Level 3 with strong fundamentals that are between the ages of 5-9. We are open to children older than age nine, however, they may enjoy themselves more in our PREP-Optional program.

- It is also possible to test onto our team at higher levels…just setup a team tryout.
Girls PREP-Optional Program
- Midwest Twisters competes Levels Bronze, Silver & Gold in the USA Gymnastics PREP-Optional Program.
- Our program ranges from 5-7 hours per week.
- Minimum age for the PREP-Optional program is age 10.
- We typically invite girls that are age 9 and a half and older who have achieved (or are very close to achieving) a back handspring. We invite most gymnasts onto this team from our Typhoon & Tsunami levels in our recreational gymnastics program.
